Workbooks

Workbooks allow the paralegal and other trial team members to organize the evidence in their case and prepare for trial. By using a workbook, the paralegal can position each evidence item in the order that it will be presented at trial. This way, the paralegal does not have to keep browsing through the many items in the entire case to find what he needs. Everything pertinent to the trial is easily accessible in the workbook.

Workbooks Explorer

Within the Workbooks Explorer, the paralegal can view and manage all the workbooks and workbook items in the case. Only automatically generated items and items added by the paralegal appear in the explorer. The explorer allows the paralegal to add, edit, or remove workbooks, as well as organize and search for specific items within each workbook.

Workbook Types

There are several different types of workbooks.

Automatically generated workbooks include:

  • Admitted Exhibits - Items marked as admitted in TrialDirector 360 PRESENT automatically appear in this workbook
  • Trial Exhibits - Items in the case that contain a trial exhibit number automatically appear in this workbook
  • Team Member - Any trial team member invited to the case have his or her own workbook (these workbooks are automatically removed if the corresponding team member is removed from the case)

Workbooks created by the paralegal or other trial team member include:

  • Standard - A normal workbook where the paralegal can drag, drop and organize items
  • Carousel - A workbook that can be organized just like a standard workbook, but then presents items in a unique way when loaded in TrialDirector 360 PRESENT
