Add a Transcript to a Case
A paralegal wants to add a transcript to the case.
The paralegal can add a supported transcript file type to an open case using any of the methods described below.
Drag and Drop
The easiest way to add a transcript is the drag and drop method. With the case he wants to add a transcript to open in TrialDirector 360EVIDENCE, the paralegal follows the steps below:
- Open the file location in the local file explorer.
- Hold left click on the file and drag the file over to the TrialDirector 360EVIDENCE Transcript Explorer.
- Release left click to drop the file into the Transcript Explorer.
- Review the transcript's properties.
- Click the Save button.
The paralegal opens the file explorer to where his transcript files are located.
Note: The paralegal may also drag files directly from his desktop.
The transcript is added to the case and appears in the Transcript Explorer. The Transcript Properties dialog appears with the properties of the transcript populating the fields.
The paralegal reviews the transcript properties, ensuring the information in the fields are correct and the Associated Transcript Files are valid.
The paralegal clicks the Save button.
Transcript Explorer Ribbon Bar
To add a transcript to the case via the Transcript Explorer, the paralegal opens the case he where he wants to add a transcript and follows the steps below:
- Open the Transcript Explorer.
- Click the Add button.
- Navigate to the transcript to be added.
- Select the file.
- Click the Open button.
- Review the transcript's properties.
- Click the Save button.
The paralegal opens the Transcript Explorer tab.
The transcripts already added to the case appear.
The paralegal clicks the Add button in the ribbon bar of the explorer.
The local file explorer appears.
The paralegal navigates the local file explorer to the transcript file he wants to add to the case.
With the transcript file selected, the paralegal clicks the Open button.
The transcript is added to the case and appears in the Transcript Explorer. The Transcript Properties dialog appears with the properties of the transcript populating the fields.
The paralegal reviews the transcript properties, ensuring the information in the fields are correct and the Associated Transcript Files are valid.
The paralegal clicks the Save button.
