Add Alias Member to Group

A videographer created an alias group and now wants to add individual aliases to the group.

Alias members are individual aliases that can be added to alias groups.

When an alias group is tagged to a case item, all of the individual aliases, or members, within the group are referenced with the item. For example, if a linked exhibit is referenced in several different ways in a case, all of those references, or aliases, can be grouped together and applied to the linked exhibit without having to enter all the individual aliases separately.

To add an alias member to an alias group, the videographer navigates to the TrialDirector 360 Dashboard and follows the steps below:

  1. Click Settings in the left column.
  2. The Settings dialog appears. The dialog contains navigation tabs including Global Aliases.

  3. Open the Global Aliases tab in the dialog.
  4. The global alias manager appears.

  5. Select an alias group from the list on the left.
  6. The videographer selects an alias group she wants to add a member to.

  7. Enter a name for the alias member in the right text field.
  8. Click the Add button.
  9. The new alias member appears in the list to the right.

This list shows the alias members associated with the selected group in the list on the left. For more information on alias groups, see the Add Alias Group article.

Note: To edit or remove an alias member, the videographer selects the alias she wants to change or delete and clicks the corresponding button on the right under Member(s). When she clicks Edit, a dialog appears where she can change the name. When she is satisfied with the change, she clicks Save Changes.
