Add a Designation Type

A paralegal wants to enter designation types that will be used in the case.

The paralegal can add designation types to his case from the Designations tab in an open case.

To add a designation type, the paralegal opens the case and follows the steps below:

  1. Select the Designations tab.
  2. The paralegal selects the Designations tab at the top of the case.

    The Designations table appears.

  3. Click the Add button.
  4. The paralegal clicks the Add button above the Designations table.

    The Add Designation dialog appears.

  5. Enter the information for the designation type in the dialog.
  6. The paralegal inputs the following information:

    • Name - The name of the designation type
    • Color - A color to help identify the designation type
    • Party - The party responsible for the designation (for more information on defining parties, view the Parties article)
  7. Click the Save & Close button.
  8. Once the paralegal is done entering the information, he clicks the Save & Close button.

    The dialog closes, and the designation type information is added to the case.
