Import Linked Exhibits

A videographer wants to import linked exhibits into her DVT.

Importing linked exhibits allows the videographer to enter several exhibits at once instead of having to insert them individually or take time browsing the file explorer to find where each exhibit is. To import the exhibits, use a pipe delimited text file like this one:

The first entry is the exhibit file's location. The other entries after the location will be entered as aliases, linking the exhibit to every instance of each alias in the transcript.

The videographer navigates to the Linked Exhibits tab in the Tools panel and follows the steps below:

  1. Click Import.

    2. The File Explorer appears.

  2. Navigate to the pipe delimited text file and click Open.

    3. The files are imported and appear in the linked exhibits tab. The videographer can see how each exhibit was entered by selecting an exhibit and clicking Edit.
