Search a Transcript
A videographer needs to find a specific phrase in a DVT she created.
The videographer can use the search features in TrialDirector 360 SYNC to find what she needs.
The videographer can find what she is looking for using any of the methods below:
- Search by keyword.
- Enter page and line number.
- Search for a specific timecode.
The videographer wants to find all instances of the name "Stacy" in the DVT she created. She types the name into the Search field and presses Enter.
The transcript view scrolls to and highlights the next instance of the word the videographer entered. She clicks the Previous and Next buttons to navigate to any other instances that match her search.
When she finds what she is looking for and wants to start a new search, the videographer clicks the small x icon in the search field to clear the previous keyword and types in a new one.
The videographer is searching for something she knows appears on a certain page of the transcript. She enters numbers in the Find Page and Find Line fields and presses Enter. The transcript immediately scrolls to and highlights the line number the videographer entered on the specified page.
If the videographer only entered a page number, the Find Line field automatically sets to 1. The same thing happens to the Find Page field if the videographer only enters a line number.
If the videographer wants to search for a timecode, she can either enter the hours:minutes:seconds manually, or copy and paste the timecode into the Find Timecode field. When she presses Enter on her keyboard, the transcript instantly scrolls to and highlights the timecode closest to the one entered.
