Fix an Unavailable Job

A videographer tries to open one of her DVTs, but receives the following message instead: “TrialDirector 360 was unable to access the DVT files. Would you like to go to Job History to get more information on the missing file(s)?”

A problem such as this may occur when someone renames an associated file after the DVT is created, or someone moves a file out of the original folder.

The videographer navigates to the Job History area and selects the sync job in the Job Summary panel with the red icon, which indicates missing associated files.

In the Job Details panel, the videographer sees that the video file path is marked in red.

To fix the issue, the videographer uses the following steps:

  1. Click the Manage button.
  2. The videographer clicks the Manage button.

    The File Manager appears.

  3. User the File Manager to resolve the issue.
  4. If the file was moved, the videographer could navigate to the new file location.

    In this case, the file is in the correct location but was renamed. She could use the Replace button to replace the old file name with the new one.

  5. Click Save.
  6. Once the videographer resolves the issue, she can open the DVT as normal.
